This behavioral health facility for the White Earth Nation, hosts 2 substance abuse treatment programs: MOMS, an innovative response to the opioid epidemic impacting pregnant Native mothers and their babies, and MAT (Medical Assisted Treatment) for other individuals. Both programs include culturally-specific holistic treatment. The facility contains traditional & alternative treatment rooms, offices, daycare facilities, and a home-like living room/lobby on each side. The building is designed in the shape of a sacred eagle with wings and a tail, and colors and finishes selected to produce a soothing and healing environment.
